The body is the physical manifestation of enlightened potential, if we can learn to actualize it.
Tsa lung Trul khor, or Yantra Yoga comes from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is similar to both Hatha Yoga and Chi Gung. Ancient movements and postures, breathing exercises, mudras, and meditation techniques combine to circulate and rejuvenate the body's energy. Click here for current class schedule. Lama Lobsang's classes are appropriate for students of all levels of yoga experience. Class sizes are small and each student is given individual attention. Lama Lobsang tends to be quite intuitive to students' needs; however, please inform him of any injuries or limitations. Classes are ongoing and drop-ins are welcome at any time. It is recommended to refrain from eating a heavy meal from 2 hours prior to class. Please wear comfortable clothes which are suitable for exercise.
“I have taken Lama Lobsang's Yantra Yoga class and found it a very powerful practice. I am a Tibetan Buddhist and have met several lamas. Lama Lobsang seems to me to be an excellent practitioner of the Medicine Buddha! This practice is one of the most healing of all Tibetan Buddhist practices. His integration of this wonderful practice with Yantra Yoga can provide an excellent healing environment for his students.” Click to read Yoga Journal article about Tibetan Yoga. Lama Lobsang learned Yantra Yoga in the 1970's from his teachers in Tibet, while he was a young monk in training to become abbot of Tashi Kyil Monastery, in Amdo.
